You don't get the itch as you do with most wool. It is toasty warm if you compare it to the other two blankets I go to get over here. It is a little on the thin side, but don't let that fool you, because I'll be the first to tell you that this blanket is definitely toasty. Warm I've used this quite a bit as well. You know trying out different things and stuff like that. This blanket. I believe is going for a hundred and seventy-five dollars somewhere their votes on the Pathfinder store, and that's the thing that wool blankets. You know what's what's the best wool blanket and the answer to that is whatever you think you're going to have to try them out and find out for yourself.
Don't just go on somebody's work. Don't go on my word, although I've tried and tested all of these, I know what I can do with them with my skill level. It's just a wool blanket. You know I mean you need skills to go with that and know what you have to do to keep warm at night, which we discussed in the last video so again same pros and cons. It's a wool, blanket there, all pretty much going to have the same pros and cons of the next one. The nights are a Lavaca wool blanket. This one is probably the thickest of the ones I have out here this last one is a Mackinac.
Filson will blanket and it's good, thick and heavy. These are all queen size, except for the Italian wool blanket. But this Lavaca is damn wool. It'S a nice freaking blanket and again, as I discussed in the last video, I only use this one night at like 3:00 in the morning when my fire died down, but uh, it's a good blanket. This one went or sixty-five dollars. I believe it loved the blanket it's definitely nice. It's heavyweight 100 % wool good to go. Last but not least again the Filson Mackinac blanket. This thing's definitely got some serious weight to it. It's thick just like the Lavaca that little barker might be just a tad thicker than the Filson is, but again I've used this time and time again and uh it's a great blanket as well. No, the wool blanket so same pros and cons.
Probably the biggest con to this blanket is uh, this blankets upwards of three hundred dollars and you can get more expensive ones. You know Hudson Bay, blankets, four-point so on and so forth cost a pretty penny. But I guess what I want to talk to you guys about is getting out there and actually doing it, an experiment and not that I need you, I'm telling you to go up by six different types of wool blankets, I'm telling you with the proper training the proper practice you can get by with any one of these blankets, so, yes, you can get by with a $ 35 wool blanket just as well as you can get by with a $ 300 blanket or even more again, this one was one hundred and sixty-five dollars. I used it for a couple hours and the wee hours of the morning, other than that I slept on top of this thing for the most part sound like somebody shooting out a deer but anyways.
That's my spiel on wool, blankets and sleep systems. They have that place with your skill level, your practice and your training. You can figure out, you know what suits your needs and what works for you and uh. You don't have to get. You know too wrapped around the axles of all. What's the best wool blanket because again, every one of these will work, assuming that you have the skills in other areas to supplement these sleep Cesare again, not that's my spiel on wool, blankets and just one thing to add here at the end, because I've seen some people do this as well, when you use in blankets.
