The blanket is finished so, for example, the bottom one here it is curling inside. So I want this side of the blanket to be exposed once the blankets did, so you line them up like this. Okay, I have this pinned with pins, because I have lined up the fabrics together, so I'm going to take the pin out. One thing I have not done is I haven't trimmed and cut it's called Salvage off of the blanket, but I'm just going to do a little bit of it right here. So let's say that you went all the way down all around four edges and cut the blanket.
So what you're going to do at each of the four corners is you're going to cut a square on each of the four corners, and this square is so that we can then make little ties. Now. You can make this square as bigger as little as you want. This is going to affect how long the ties are. Okay, so I tend to make them about this long, but you can make them longer or shorter. So then, what we're going to do is we're going to cut little strips here and the thing about blanket making that I like so much is that it doesn't have to be perfect. I can tend to be anal and try to be a perfectionist, but you don't have to and you're making these blankets, so I don't get a ruler and make sure that each of these strips is the same size.
Now what you do is I'm going to pinch the top of a tie. Okay, so I'm going to pinch it and at the top, I'm going to snip, I'm just going to snip make a little hole. Okay, so I've got a little hole now at the top of the fabrics and - and it goes through both the fabrics, then what you do is I use scissors or tweezers, but you're going to take the end of this strips both pieces and then I use the Tip of scissors to feel it through okay, so I kind of pushed it through so that at the back of this strip the little fabric is now poking through and you pull it through. Okay. So let me get this straightened out a little bit here. So you take it and you pull it down.
There is one of your ties okay see that, so that is a tie on the blanket and, of course, you do that all the way around the blanket - and this is why it is called a no-sew blanket because there is no sewing involved. So I'm just going to do a couple more here. Just so you get the idea. I'm going to snip snip snip just kidding cannot see you have a thumb, then then you're just going to take it and push it through and tie you're going to take it fold it over and pull it through and wah. Before you know it, you will have ties all around your blanket.
