Pillsbury pigs blanket. This is a great beginner friendly pattern follows a 17-row repeat and works up really quickly. Let's get into the pattern for your materials, you are going to need. Approximately 1400 yards of bulky five weight yarn. I use Burnett's maker home decor yarn in cream. You will also need an 8-millimeter crochet hook, a measuring tape, scissors, and a yarn needle start out by making a slipknot using an 8-millimeter crochet hook chain 109. We will now begin the first row.
So, to start out, we are going to double crochet into the third chain from the hook, double crochet into each chain across the rope. Once you have reached the end of the row, all you are going to do is chain to turn your work around and you will double crochet it back across this row. You are going to repeat these steps for a total of 10 rows. Once you have ten rows of double crochet you're going to chain to turn your work around and we are going to begin the mesh section so you're going to double crochet chain, one skip one stitch and double crochet into the next. You will repeat these steps across the row for a total of three rows to begin row 14.
We are going to chain to turn our work around and we will now begin the puff stitch section of the blanket. So we will start out by double crocheting into that same stitch, and now puffs sitting around each chain space we come across, so we are going to yarn over around the chain space yarn over pull through and repeat that four times until you have nine loops on your hook once you have it 9 loops on your hook, you're going to yarn over and pull through all of those loops, and that is how you do a puff stitch.
